Reflections on 2020

It’s been quite a year!

Between our mandatory closure from mid-March to the beginning of May, to my shoulder surgery in September, our mettle has been tested.  The good news is we are back stronger than ever!

During this time, my assistant for 20 years, Deb Irving, decided to retire. We are all happy for her as she seems to be enjoying retirement with her newly retired husband, Bill.

Joining our dental family is Emily Toth, an excellent dental assistant who loves to laugh and put patients at ease.  She is a valuable addition to our team.

I have recovered well from my surgery, and have appreciated all the well wishes from my many patients. My shoulder feels better every day. Fortunately, I was able to come back to work much sooner than anticipated.  This was due to the excellent job done by my surgeon, as well as my physical therapist, which has enabled me to heal faster and with better range of motion.

I would also like to extend my personal appreciation to Drs. Jim Platek and Jan Bosserman — two longtime friends and excellent dentist colleagues who stepped in to treat you while I was out for my surgery and during my recovery.

Finally, I want to wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and joyous holiday season. While the year has been full of unexpected challenges, nothing is more important than family. Thank you for being an important part of the Dr. Poz dental family and all your years of trust and support.
