It’s been an exciting and busy year, but one also touched with sadness.
We are thankful for those of you that have returned or scheduled treatment that you postponed due to Covid. We are also grateful for our new patients who decided to join the Dr. Poz family this year. Welcome, and we look forward to getting to know more about you during future visits. To all our patients: we are humbled by your decision to entrust us with your dental care.
In May, we lost Sandy Kohlenberg, our longest-time employee, to brain cancer. Sandy was the first hygienist Dr. Poz hired shortly after beginning his practice in 1983. We, and her patients, will miss her genuine heart, her passion for dental health, and that sly wit she slipped in when you weren’t expecting it. She fostered relationships among a large, loyal, and multi-generational dental following.
And then, as so often happens in the circle of life, Emily Toth, who joined us last year as a dental assistant, became a new mom to Lily in May. Mom and daughter are doing well and Emily is back in the office full-time sharing lots of pictures and stories. We couldn’t be happier for her and her family.
We also welcomed back Tina Bobak, who first joined the Dr. Poz family as a hygienist when our office was on Laskey Rd. With her kids now grown, she has time to see patients and still be able to watch her new grandson.
Finally, in late August, we added another significant new member to our team this year, Dr. Andi Deuschle. Many of you have already gotten to meet her since she joined us. Dr. Andi is an excellent dentist and has a compassionate, caring nature when treating patients. We are very happy and blessed she chose to join the Dr. Poz family.
For all our patients, we want to wish you and your families a joyous holiday season. While the year has been full of unexpected changes, sadness as well as joy, it reminds us again that nothing is more important than family. Thank you for being a valued part of the Dr. Poz dental family and for all your years of trust and support.
