Oral Cancer Screenings

When you come in for treatment we routinely perform a thorough oral cancer screen. We look for signs of mouth, tongue and/or throat cancer, we check your lips, cheek lining, gums, front and underside of your tongue, floor of the mouth beneath the tongue, and the hard palate that makes up the roof of your mouth. We also check the oral cavity starting at the soft part of the roof of your mouth and back into your throat.

By checking each time you visit us, we can improve the chances that any suspicious changes in your oral health will be caught early, at a time when cancer can be treated more easily.
