Soft Tissue Laser

Soft tissue (gum) lasers can be used for oral procedures rather than cutting tissue with a metal instrument.

Some procedures include eliminating purple spots on lips, painful canker sores, excess gum tissue between or around teeth, and benign growths.  Lasers can also be used to reshape the tissue to make short teeth look longer or to sculpt the gums for a more esthetic smile.

The laser simply vaporizes gum tissue with a beam of concentrated light. Soft tissue lasers penetrate soft tissue while sealing blood vessels and nerve endings. Less anesthetic is required with minimal bleeding and swelling, and healing time is reduced with minimal scarring.  Many people experience virtually no postoperative pain following the use of a laser.
